Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body, forming the structural matrix of skin, tendons, ligaments, cartilage, and bone. Hydrolyzed collagen peptides provide the amino acid building blocks the body uses for collagen synthesis.
What's in it
- 20 g per scoop, 14 servings: 18 g of protein, high in glycine, proline and hydroxyproline, the amino acids that form collagen's triple helix.
- Grass-fed sourcing: Collagen peptides from grass-fed bovine hide.
- Hydrolyzed for absorption: Enzymatically broken into short peptides that absorb efficiently.
- Completely unflavored: Dissolves fully in hot or cold liquids without changing the taste. Works in coffee, smoothies, soup, or oatmeal.
The science
For skin: a 2014 randomized trial in Skin Pharmacology and Physiology (Proksch et al.) gave 69 women aged 35 to 55 either 2.5 g or 5 g of a specific collagen peptide daily. After 8 weeks, skin elasticity improved compared to placebo.* That study used a different collagen product than ours.
Suggested use: One scoop daily in any hot or cold beverage or soft food.
